CTAHR’s award-winning researchers cultivate innovative scientific inquiry and solve real-world challenges that directly impact the Hawaiian islands, Pacific Basin, and the world. In 2021, faculty brought in $25M+ in extramural grants and contracts, which is helping fund ongoing discoveries in sustainable resource management, ecosystem health, economic prosperity, agricultural diversification, invasive species control, quality of life for families, healthy food choices, food security, climate change impacts, healthy living for children, a safe food supply, and related issues that affect communities across the state.
